Tobacco Control Clinic

A partnership between Crittenden Memorial Hospital (CMH) and Delta AHEC North.  The goals of the Tobacco Control Clinic are to:

  • Prevent tobacco use among citizens of Crittenden County and neighboring communities

  • Maintain capacity to conduct smoking cessation programs

  • Communicate information to constituents and the public about risks associated with tobacco usage

  • Work with healthcare professionals to implement educational programs and research studies targeting tobacco related diseases

In an effort to meet the growing individual needs of the community, TCC offers the following programs:

Finally Free from Tobacco(FFFT) - This clinical program uses behavior modification, over-the-counter and prescribed smoking cessation aides, and the American Cancer Society's Freshstart Curriculum

Smoking Cessation In-Patient Counseling - A counseling referral program designed to provide CMH patients with one-on-one cessation counseling and an invitation to enroll in the cessation program appropriate for them

Healthy Mommy, Healthy Baby Program - A cessation program to assist pregnant women who want to quit smoking

American Lung Association's "Not On Tobacco" - A 10 week cessation program and support group for teenagers who are trying to quit smoking

Worksite Cessation Programs - Utilizing FFFT, cessation counselors, equipment and materials are taken to the workplace to assist groups of employees in successfully quitting tobacco products

Speakers Bureau - Cessation Counselors are available to present information about statistics, diseases, and cessation activities.  Presentations are available for groups of all ages and types.
