, 277 nursing students from various educational
institutions, ranging from the LPN to the master’s level, participated in
educational experiences at the AHECs. The AHECs play an important role assisting
nursing students in rural areas with academic advising, registration, computer
and interactive video access, and course assistance. Through
UAMS College of
Nursing faculty in the AHECs, rural nurses can earn credits toward the following
UAMS degree programs:
