Pharmacy Education

The mission of pharmacy within AHEC is represented by our pharmacy faculty and the multi-dimensional learning opportunities they provide for UAMS pharmacy students, medical students, and Family Medicine residents. During 2006-07, AHEC PharmD’s served as preceptors for 24 traditional and 3 non-traditional pharmacy students. Each rotation reflects the individuality of the AHECs, with universal emphasis placed upon therapeutic problem solving, drug counseling, and communication with other health care providers.
